About Us

Argus Security was founded by Albert and Robyn van de Wetering in 1985, when they began constructing security doors in their backyard. Business ran along smoothly, but Albert soon realized that even though he made great security doors, more was needed to effectively secure a house. So began the expansion to other security products and from there Argus Security and Locksmithing was born. The business grew further and was moved into commercial premises in Hume to allow for the continued growth and room for additional machinery. The business continued to develop and further products were added to the range. Today Argus Home Security Solutions covers the full range of security products including:

A wide range of Security doors
Window Grilles
Locks and Locksmithing services
Alarm Systems
Safes
Roller Shutters

The company employs 18 staff as well as various sub contractors and for a second time has moved to larger premises, again in Hume.

Through our expertise in aluminium manufacturing, a new division, Argus Home Improvement Products has evolved. This division manufactures a contemporary range of products that require no maintenance due to the aluminium construction and powder coat finish. The home improvement product range includes:

Balustrades
Fences and Fence in-fills
Gates
Garden Screens
Plantation Shutters
