Our slimline roller shutters are the most versatile security product on the market. They can offer you all of these features:

Security

Roller shutters provide external window security through an aluminium curtain injected with polyurethane foam for added strength. They do not allow the opportunistic thief to peer through your window to see your valuables inside.

Insulation

Roller shutters provide fantastic insulation against both heat and cold. The foam filled curtain slats stop the heat in summer before it can even reach the window, unlike curtains which struggle to trap the heat after it has penetrated the window. They are also efficient in trapping the heat inside in winter, cutting down on your heating costs.

Bushfire Protection

In 2003 we saw bushfires hit Canberra, destroying many homes in the suburbs. We had one particular customer who had their house spared thanks to their roller shutters protecting the windows from embers and extreme heat. The Oz Roll roller shutters have been CSIRO tested for bushfire exposure, concluding that your home stands a much better chance when roller shutters are installed.

Noise & Light Reduction

Roller shutters provide substantial noise reduction again due to the polyurethane foam filled slats. They also block the majority of light from the window when fully closed. These properties make roller shutters ideal for babies, night shift workers, light sleepers or anyone who likes a Sunday morning sleep in.

Our roller shutters can be installed into the window reveal, or where there is no reveal they can be installed directly onto the face of the wall. They can be operated internally with any of the following systems:

Manual Winder

• The roller shutter is wound up and down using a manual winder.

Tape Pull

• This operation is for small windows such as toilet windows, where there is no room for a winder box beside the window.
• The tape is manually pulled up or down to operate the shutter.

Oz Roll Drive (battery)

• The Oz Roll Drive system is an affordable Lithium-Ion battery powered controller operated at the touch of a button.
• The battery is charged as needed using the charger provided, or can be on charge constantly if a power point is available nearby.
• The light on the controller indicates when it requires charging, is currently charging or when it is fully charged.
• Being battery powered the system still has the ability to operate even if there is no mains power. This is vital in times of emergency when emergency egress is required.
• We highly recommend this option on bedroom windows.
• Also available in RF with single or 9 channel remote control.

E-Solar Control

• Uses the same system as the Oz Roll Drive, however the controller is charged via a small solar panel. If there is insufficient light, the controller can also be charged with the 240V E-Charger.

240V Control

• The 240V control roller shutter uses your existing electrical circuit to power the shutter at the flick of a switch. We provide a qualified electrician to wire up the shutter.
