Bring fresh air and natural light into your home while keeping insects out with innovative Brio 612 Retractable Pleated Insect Screens. Professionally supplied and installed by Argus Home Security Solutions in Canberra, these premium screens deliver outstanding performance and design flexibility for almost any window or door application. Perfect for modern living, the Brio 612 combines sleek style, robust construction, and user-friendly operation to protect your home without compromising aesthetics.
Advanced Screening for Large Openings
Retractable Pleated Insect Screens or more specifically, the Brio 612 is one of the most versatile and expansive insect screens on the market. A single screen can span up to 4.5 metres wide and 3.2 metres high, while a double screen can cover openings as large as 9 metres wide, making it ideal for oversized doors, wide entertaining areas, and large windows. Whether you have folding, sliding, or French doors, or expansive servery windows, the Brio system provides seamless protection and effortless operation.
Elegant Design and Colours
Available in classic Black, Silver, or White – and custom colours upon request, our Brio 612 Retractable Pleated Insect Screens blend beautifully with a wide range of architectural styles. Its low-profile aluminium frame and discreet pleated mesh integrate perfectly with modern interiors and exteriors. Unlike flat mesh systems that can sag or require bulky housings, the Brio pleated mesh retracts smoothly and stores neatly when not in use, maintaining the clean lines of your home’s design.
Quality Engineering You Can Trust
Engineered and assembled in Australia, the Brio 612 is built to last. Precision robotic assembly ensures accuracy and consistency, while the patented design has been tested to exceed 150,000 open-and-close cycles. High-strength braided tensioning cords run horizontally to stabilise the mesh, keeping the screen perfectly aligned and allowing the handle bar to glide with minimal effort. Multiple precision bearings reduce friction and significantly extend the life of the screen.
The intelligent design also prevents the mesh from blowing out in windy conditions. If strong gusts do dislodge the mesh as a safety feature, it can be easily repositioned without damage – ideal for Canberra’s variable climate.
Flexible Applications and Retrofits
The Brio 612 is independent of any specific door or window brand, allowing it to be installed on a variety of frames. It can be fully integrated with folding, sliding, or hinged doors as well as many window types. For existing homes, the retrofit screen kit provides an effective solution when doors or windows were originally installed without insect screening. The face-fix application can be dressed with timber architraves for a seamless look, making it easy to add insect protection to your current setup without major renovations.
Corner Screening Without Posts
One standout feature of Brio 612 Retractable Pleated Insect Screens is their ability to screen corner openings without the need for a supporting post. This clever design preserves uninterrupted views and airflow, creating a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. It is the perfect choice for open-plan designs and entertainment areas where style and functionality meet.
Sizes and Customisation
The Brio 612 is available in a wide range of standard sizes and can also be custom-made to fit specific openings. Screen widths can be tailored to suit spaces from as small as 900 mm to as large as 9 metres, while heights can range from 600 mm to 3.2 metres. The flexibility in sizing and finish means Argus can provide a bespoke solution for virtually any home or commercial project.
Low Maintenance and Durability
The pleated, UV-stable polyester mesh is designed for long-term performance with minimal maintenance. Cleaning is simple: just use a soft cloth or brush and mild detergent. The strong aluminium frame resists warping and corrosion, ensuring the screen looks and operates like new for years to come. While the screen is highly durable, the warranty does not cover damage caused by pets or accidental misuse, so gentle handling is recommended.
